How to Prescribe With Us

How to Prescribe With Us

Village Compounding Pharmacy partners with licensed healthcare providers to deliver customized compounded medications tailored to each patient’s unique clinical needs. Our pharmacists work collaboratively with prescribers to ensure safe, effective, and appropriate formulations.

Who Can Prescribe Compounded Medications

Any licensed healthcare provider authorized to prescribe medications may prescribe compounded therapies. This includes physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other qualified practitioners, in accordance with applicable state and federal regulation

Prescribing Compounded Medications

Compounded prescriptions are written when a commercially available product does not meet a patient’s specific requirements. Common reasons for compounding include:

  • Customized strengths or dosage forms
  • Ingredient sensitivities or allergies
  • Alternative delivery methods
  • Patient-specific therapeutic needs

Our pharmacists are available to consult with providers regarding formulation options, stability, dosing considerations, and clinical appropriateness.
